Schoolin Life Podcast

Oct 10, 2017

On this week's episode we talk the intersection of faith, politics & personal values that has been a swirl in the news over the past week. In the wake of the tragedy in Las Vegas, politicians are quick to share that "their thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their families", but do little to regulate the sale of semi automatic weapons. A Pennsylvania councilman who campaigns around anti abortion laws citing that it's against his "christian values", recently resigned after it was revealed that he pressured his mistress to have an abortion. Tina and Erika Campbell of Mary Mary, have openly supported 45, with Tina justifying her decision in a recent interview by saying "And some of <redacted>’s views on Christianity, honestly, is what caused me to vote for him."

So what do we make of all this? How does faith, politics & values mix?
